Issue Position

Our aging population and how we care for them is the most important domestic issue of our generation. We need to find ways to care for them in their senior years without bankrupting themselves and their families. I'm the only candidate in the race who is a senior, and I've already lost both my parents, so I'm familiar with some of the issues first-hand. One of my ideas that I've had for years is to require all senior-care facilities to have at least one resident/patient advocate in the facility reporting directly to the state, not to the facility.
